US starts denying Afghan refugees – report
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services has started denying humanitarian parole applications to some Afghan nationals, Axios reported, citing multiple immigration attorneys and advocates.
The system was reportedly flooded with over 30,000 requests, which may be the reason for the refusals.
Since taking office, US President Joe Biden has fulfilled a campaign promise to increase refugee admissions by over 700 percent.
