US State Department lifts global travel advisory
The United States Department of State lifted its global travel advisory on Thursday after more than four months.
Having issued the Level 4: Do Not Travel advisory due to the coronavirus pandemic on March 19, the State Department now feels that “with health and safety conditions improving in some countries and potentially deteriorating in others,” it is appropriate to return to its previous system that advises against travel to specific countries.
Shares of major US-based airlines all surged on the news.
