US, UK blast Russia over Navalny poisoning

The United Kingdom and the United States issued a joint statement on Friday, condemning Russia’s alleged involvement in the poisoning of Kremlin critic Alexey Navalny.

The two countries underlined there can be “no impunity for those that use chemical weapons,” and urged Moscow to abide by the stipulations of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC).

Earlier during the day, London sanctioned seven individuals over ties to the alleged poisoning.
