US, UK express concerns about WHO’s COVID study
Fourteen countries wrote a joint statement on the World Health Organization Convened COVID-19 Origins Study and expressed their concerns that the report “significantly delayed and lacked access to complete, original data and samples”.
The statement was released by the governments of the United States, Australia, Canada, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Israel, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, the Republic of Korea, Slovenia and the United Kingdom.
Despite expressed concerns, the nations will remain members of the WHO and support the international experts and scientists. The governments urged WHO and all its members to commit to access and transparency in further phase 2 studies.
