US-UK travel corridor unlikely before fall – report
Chances that the United States and the United Kingdom will open an air corridor before the autumn are “fading,” the Financial Times reported on Monday, citing officials involved in the talks.
Outlet’s sources attributed the delay to the rising number of COVID-19 Delta strain infections, as well as “uncertainty over the status of AstraZeneca’s vaccine.”
The negotiations between Washington and London are set to extend into September, the report forecasted.
