Vaccinations among kids in US to reach 10% today – WH
White House’s COVID-19 Response Coordinator Jeff Zients said on Wednesday that the number of 5-11-year-olds who have received their first COVID-19 vaccine dose will reach 10% by the end of the day.
The Food and Drug Administration approved the emergency use of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine at the end of last month, while the vaccination campaign among children intensified around 10 days ago.
The lower-dose vaccine is determined to be 90.7% effective in preventing COVID-19 among kids aged between five and 11 years.
