Wall Street closes in green on Trump’s speech
Trading on Wall Street finished in the green on Wednesday as the United States President Donald Trump said that the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) is “the largest trade deal ever made.” The market was mostly led by tech companies like Microsoft and Apple. Apple stocks jumped to a record high after the target price rise. Meanwhile, St. Louis Federal Reserve President James Bullard stated that he maintains a positive outlook despite the recent resurgence of COVID-19 in some parts of the United States.
The Dow Jones was up 178 points at the close or 0.69%. The best performing stock was The Walt Disney Co that was rising by 2.71%. The S&P 500 climbed 0.79%. Kohl’s Corp rose by 9.14%. The Nasdaq 100 gained 1.36% with JD.com leading the way growing by 6.02%.
The euro gained 0.52% compared to the dollar to sell for $1.13320 at 4:02 pm ET.
