WarnerMedia names Hulu co-founder as new CEO
Founding CEO of Hulu and SVP at Amazon, Jason Kilar, has been named CEO of WarnerMedia, effective May 1, AT&T announced on Wednesday. Kilar is replacing John Stankey, who now serves as president and COO at AT&T.
WarnerMedia has been searching for a new CEO since its parent company AT&T promoted Stankey to COO in September.
The new CEO’s start on that position will correspond with the launch WarnerMedia’s streaming service HBO Max in May, announced in October.
