WH confirms all adults to be offered jab by April 19
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki confirmed on Tuesday that President Joe Biden would announce later today that all adults in the United States will be offered a COVID-19 vaccine by April 19 instead of May 1.
Vaccine supplies have been expedited according to Psaki, so the White House expects people will get vaccinated at a faster pace. Psaki also revealed the US administered more than 150 million COVID-19 vaccines since the administration transition in Washington.
The latest data showed earlier in the day that the country recorded 79,075 new COVID-19 cases, with more than 167 million vaccines distributed since the jab’s approval.
