WH: Rate of vaccination is increasing
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki stated on Wednesday that the rate of vaccination in the United States is increasing, saying that four million more people were vaccinated in August than in July.
Psaki noted that US President Joe Biden will outline six steps tomorrow on tackling the coronavirus pandemic, adding that there is a “lot more work to be done” when it comes to containing the pandemic and that the country is “still at war” with the coronavirus.
Lastly, Psaki also commented on the World Health Organization’s urge to delay booster shots until next year, saying that the administration believes this to be a “false choice.” Moreover, she asserted that while the US has donated more coronavirus vaccines than any other country, the President will also ensure that the health situation in the country is contained.
