WHO imperfect, in need of reform – Blinken
United States President-elect Joe Biden’s nominee for Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, called the World Health Organization (WHO) a “very imperfect” organization in need of reform.
He went on to explain that, despite that fact, the incoming president wants the US to become a member nation again in order to have a better chance of affecting the change.
Blinken added that the Biden administration is committed to making sure the vaccine is distributed properly and that additional resources are likely to be needed for such an undertaking.
