Wreckage of missing An-26 found near destination – report
Wreckage of an An-26 airplane, which lost communication with the ground control earlier today, has been found near Palana, Russia, which was the aircraft’s destination, TASS reported on Tuesday.
The plane, operated by Kamchatka Aviation Enterprise, carried 29 passengers, among which was the head of the local government in Palana, Olga Mokhireva.
According to reports by Interfax, the airplane appears to have crashed into a rock. A later report suggested that there were no survivors in the accident.
