YouTube extends Trump’s channel suspension
American online video-sharing platform YouTube decided to extend US President Donald Trump’s channel suspension for a week longer than previously planned due to “the ongoing potential for violence.”
The Google owned company stated that all of the comments under previously posted videos on this channel will also be banned, even though YouTube users will be able to see the existing videos. However, uploading of new content will be forbidden.
Last week, YouTube announced it had temporarily suspended President Donald Trump’s account on its platform after the head of state was accused of inciting his supporters to enter the Capitol the week before.
